Getting started

Browsing without an account

You can read the latest headlines right away, no sign-up needed. Instant search over what's on screen is open to everyone.

Creating an account

Browse the latest articles for free. Go PRO to unlock the full power of FEEDMEBIO.

The home page

The home page has three areas: the news feed in the center, sections and shortcuts on the left, and info widgets on the right. The toolbar above the feed is where you search, filter, change the layout and download.

Instant search

The search box in the toolbar narrows the headlines already loaded — instantly, as you type. Try it:

Search & filters

Filters query the whole database (a PRO feature), not just what's on screen: by text, source, date range and topic tags. Here's the panel:

Operators: AND, OR, AND NOT

Combine words to sharpen a search. AND requires both, OR accepts either, AND NOT excludes the next word. Try them here:

Try:
  • AND — Both words must appear. Ex: crispr AND mouse
  • OR — Either word may appear. Ex: crispr OR cas9
  • AND NOT — Exclude the next word. Ex: crispr AND NOT mouse

Date range & the archive

Free browsing always shows the latest 200 articles. PRO reaches the entire database, with both preset time filters (last week / month / year) and an exact From/To range you set yourself.

Free: always the latest 200. PRO: presets or any exact range across the full archive.

Saved searches

PRO users can save up to 10 filter sets and re-apply them in one click from the filters panel.

AI tagging

Articles are classified automatically by AI as they arrive, so you can scan and filter the feed quickly.

These tags let you quickly tell what kind of article it is Type, which industry field it applies to Sector and the core technology stack behind it Technology — all without opening the article. And because every article is tagged the moment it arrives, you can pull back old articles months later by Type, industry Sector or Technology — making the stream of headlines structured, searchable and findable.

⚠️ AI can make mistakes — always verify against the original source. Spotted a wrong tag? Use the "Report a problem" widget to tell us.

Classifications

Every article carries up to three independent tags, one per axis. This is how a fully-tagged card looks:

Interactive demo — how one article gets tagged
Type — the icon (e.g. paper)
Sector — field of application
Technology — technique or platform
  • Typewhat kind of content it is: the editorial format, such as an academic paper, a news story, a patent or an announcement. Shown as a small icon on every card, so the format is obvious before you click.
  • Sectorwhere it applies: the industry or field of application, such as human health, agriculture or food. Use it to narrow the feed to your area.
  • Technologyhow it's done: the technique or platform involved, such as genomics, gene editing or bioinformatics.

The three axes are independent — one article can be an academic paper Type about human health Sector using gene editing Technology. Sector and Technology appear as coloured pills for PRO and power the topic filters; Type is the icon everyone sees.

Downloads & exports

Export the headlines on screen from the Download menu in the toolbar:

This is another PRO-only feature. Each export includes up to 200 articles with their title, link, source and date. Pick the format that fits what you're doing:

  • CSV — plain spreadsheet, opens in Excel, Sheets or any tool; best for quick lists.
  • XLSX — native Excel workbook with formatting intact.
  • JSON — structured data for scripts, pipelines or feeding another app.
  • TXT — plain text, no formatting.
  • Markdown — ready to paste into notes, docs or a wiki.
  • PDF — a tidy, printable document to share or archive.
